Summary of Department
The Department of Urology specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of malignant and benign tumors occurring in the urinary tract and male genital organs. Treatments for cancer include surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, immunotherapy and supportive care. When selecting treatments, we thoroughly discuss all options with the patients and their families in order to provide the best therapeutic outcomes and meet the patient’s wishes. We apply minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery techniques for many genitourinary diseases, such as tumors of the adrenal gland, kidney, renal pelvis, ureter, bladder and prostate. We have extensive experience in performing surgery for locally advanced cancer and have obtained excellent results.
We have also performed surgery on many patients with sarcoma in the retroperitoneum or pelvis. New immunotherapies have been developed in recent years for many cancers, including renal and bladder cancer, and we apply these treatments actively for suitable patients. We are endeavoring to deliver new and significant medical treatments to as many people as possible.
